Research and Development cell was established to encourage research and innovative skills among faculty and students. The establishment of R&D Cell is to develop and strengthen the research environment in the departments of the institution. The faculty and student can undertake research in emerging areas of science and humanities, technology, Life sciences, commerce and other multidisciplinary fields.

To promote potential growth in the research activities through research publications in peer reviewed Journals, Research Projects / Grants, Patents, Collaborations, Doctoral program, Faculty and Student development programmes.

1. To develop an Institutional Research Information System for sharing the status of ongoing / Completed research works done by the faculty and students.

2. Preparing the database for maintaining research details of the institution.

3. To conduct / participate in Workshops, Hands on training programs, Guest lectures, Seminars, Webinars on capacity building in terms of research culture among staff and students.

4. To prepare annual research activity plan for all the departments in the institution.

5. To encourage the publication / presentation of the research work / projects in reputed journals and conferences.

6. To promote research collaboration with inter – institution at national and / or international level.

7. To make the institute as a Research Centre of Manonmanium Sundaranar University.
